SKIT THING!!!

Hey people. Today's discussion wasn't very successful. =( Everyone jia yous! I know some people aren't very happy with their roles but...life's like that. =P

So. About the skit. I'm gonna post the lyrics of 'American idiot' on the blog, so you guys can copy and paste from here. I'm also gonna send you all the lyrics and mp3 version (for those who don't already have it, please download). Since I don't have all of your email addresses, I'll just send to those email addresses I have, then you guys just forward to those in our class.

Oh yeah. Please practise the song okay? At least try to know the tune and the words. You don't have to sing, like a American Idol or something. Just try!

thanks! =)

FeedDemon 2.5

No one is posting here very regularly so it's kinda troublesome to check everyday. Anyway, I've stumbled upon this program that alerts you when a blog is updated. It's RSS, if that explains anything. (Not for me.) It's called FeedDemon. You just give the program this blog's address and it'll tell you whether if there are new posts everytime to open up the program. FeedDemon also doubles up as a Web Browser. The thing is, when you minimise it, it doesn’t show up on the Taskbar. (That’s the blue strip with the Start Button on it.) Instead, it shows up as a small, insignificant icon which parents are unlikely to notice on the notification area. (That’s the light-blue area on the right side of the Taskbar.) So it’s PERFECT for playing online games in secrecy. Anyway, here's where to download it: http://www.newsgator.com/download/FeedDemon/FeedDemonInstall.exe It's a trial version that will expire so you should download the installation file so that you can install it again when it expires. And if you have a computer clock with a dead battery, (like me) the program will never expire. ('Cause it's a 30-day thing.)

movie showtimes..

here are the timings for movies on sat..9/6/2007..

JURONG CINEPLEX Rating Restriction Timings

1. Legend Of The Sea 11:00 AM*+ 12:45 PM*+ 6:45 PM*+

2. Men In White 10:45 AM*+ 12:30 PM*+ 2:15 PM*+ 4:00 PM*+ 5:45 PM*+ 7:30 PM*+ 9:15 PM*+ 11:00 PM*+

3. Ocean's Thirteen 2:30 PM+ 4:50 PM+ 7:10 PM+ 9:30 PM+ 11:50 PM+

hmm..think tats all..
think the time of men in white and ocean's thirteen is the most suitable le.
2.15 for men in white and 2.30 for ocean's thirteen.

Compromise

Suggestion: How about we go see Ocean's 13 instead.

'Cause I read yesterday's newspaper and they said that Legend Of The Sea sucks. 1 Star.
On the other hand, they said Ocean's 13 rocks. 4 Stars.

Ocean's 13 is so much more slicker and cooler instead of some lame Finding Nemo rip-off. For the fans of J J Lin, (who voices the dragon) the movie critic says that he sounds like he's just been dragged out from bed.

Like many other people, I also didn't watch Ocean's 11 & 12. But it's obvious that they're good.

Basically, Ocean's 13 is about a few guys who was offended by this casino kingpin and they wanna get even. So they plan to win 50 MILLION BUCKS from the casino on the opening night. This includes inflitrating a dice factory to rigg the dice and other diabolically cool escapades.

So, how about giving Ocean's 13 a try?

thanks to those who came for cip today!..thanks..today only pack shelveshahs..but quite fun la..tat scute..a1..a1..a1......hahs..
Haha.. Yeah.. And the first skit was also very funny. Desmond was wearing the mask and muttering "A1 A1 A1"... So funny... Good luck for the skits today! Though you won't be able to read this.. -.-"' Ahh. And today CIP was also pretty fun.. Kept shelving.. XD Then clean up the baby section.. Wahh. Think now already messy le.. Sad sad... =( All our hard work went down the drain.. 8 hours CIP. =))

CLDDS

The CLDDS show was very nice, although some parts I don't really understand.. Quite nice.. Very funny too. =DD Desmond was very funny when he came out holding a torchlight. l0ls. =DD Too bad for those who didn't go..

cldds performance

it's nice! those who didn't go, it's a waste.. The performance is funny and led me into thinking. Who am i? What if i have only 10 minutes left? It taught me to cherish whatever i had now. Whatever "school" that i want can only, forever, be a illusion. "pop songs", "singers" all these subjects can never appear in our report book.. Anyway.. GREAT JOB, cldds!! i had a great night!THANKS

Tuesday, 29 May 2007

cldds..well done!!

desmond..u look quite cute when u shone the torch on your face..scary sia..hahs..aniways..well done..hahs
Haha.... Today Desmond acted until serious like that.. Calm down... Good job anyway! CLDDS was pretty nice but don't understand anything... =X So "cheem.."

24 hours left...

Well, it's one painstaking day to the June holidays! Have fun. (Who the hell am I lying to? It's obvoius there won't be any fun.) Anyway, I'm posting to direct people to my blog. (Shameless, I know.)

Random post?! Lolz

Hey guys!

Erm.. Oh yah. I suffering from stm( short term memory). kekeke. Anyway, about the class outing thing. Yeah. We ought to have a gathering or I will miss you guys. haha. Just kidding. No offence though. Imagine the days I don't have to give orders and see all your reluctant faces. Other classes have class gathering except us. I know you guys wanna be special but not in that way ok? So, any suggestions tell me. =) Look pretty and handsome for tommorow's "photo-taking" with Miss Choong and Mr Tan..

Oh, and by the way, the school disapproved our CIP plan. So sad.. Anyone else have any suggestions because we are like.. very hopeless? Other classes have already started and I think we are the only class that have not. Must beat other classes. Jyjy!

Remember to bring your thumbdrives for computer tomorrow! All the best for dance tomorrow(although I think I am going to flunk it). Hmm. Maybe I shall summarise the holiday assignments so far:

1) Reading passport
2) Pen Awards Competition essay
3) the "Creative Writing" worksheet
4) History SBQ
5) MCQ(language arts) NSW International Competition
6) Learn the material found on page 175-190 of Vocab and Grammar
7) Chemistry worksheet
8) History Reflection
9) Maths assignment
10)Science Review(attach rubric behind)
11)Explorers & Connectors week (survey)
12)Geography worksheet
13)xi you ji-presentation
14)Chinese Essay

That's all SO FAR...
watch this!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OdSncy70nM

it is about a teacher insulting a student verbally...He should be feeling very miserable then...

WooTs! Found out that MY BROTHER AND MR TAN WERE AT THE SAME CLASS IN SEC 1 AND 2!! 0.o He said that Mr Tan was a very... "National Day" person. Loved NDP lots. No wonder his wallpaper on the computer was about NDP. And my other brother remember Mr Tan and Miss Choong... Said they were very noisy and high profile people... 0.o?

Wednesday, 23 May 2007

holidays are coming..yay..but lots of hw..haix..hahs..

long story

Hi 1A. What a day! Let me start with the s.c. voting. Thanks to those who voted for the 1A nominees. You guys are great. However, please be more DISCREET when voting.

Next, for the c.i.d project, i, as the captain sincerely apologise for our failure in mission 1. We hope all of you do not blame us. We only got 5 points. Sorry.Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. And, our group thinks that you guys were great in cheering. Although you could have been louder......Gambatte!

Our class did not do very well in the class bonding period(what was that called?). Yes,i admit we did have a lot of fun and we were very 'high'. However, like what ms choong said, girls only mix with girls and boys only mix with boys. This is not good. We should bond with each other more often. During the period of truth and dare, we,the girls, invited the boys to join us. Well, what happened then? They ambled towards us and looked reluctant, as if we had some kind of infectious disease and did not come near us. I think we should suggest to the chairpeople to have a class outing during the june holidays. That way, we could bond. Bond, not in james bond, but in spending time together and know each other well.

Now, let's talk about our cool relief teacher, ms choong. Her name was being spelt wrongly. Oh my God. I felt so sorry for her. However, having a unique name is quite cool, only that people tend to pronouce it wrongly. Now. i shall grab the chance to clarify to everyone how to PRONOUCE MY NAME.

PRISCILLA
>Pronouce as 'Pri-sci-le'
>Never pronouce it as 'Pri-sci-la' This is for Jacky Chua Jun Hao. No offence.
And, i hope that those innocent people who were mentally disturbed by the show 'love actually', please do not be offended. It was not ms choong's fault. Well, i think that's all for now. Happy june holidays in advance!!!

the next and last newspaper collection is on 23 may, which is next wednesday!!! remember to bring newspapers!!!must hit our target 200kg!!! let's make it our last and best collection, ok??? JIA YOU!!! =)
we making cookies,..jellies and i think brownies also..
think they are doing before hoildays..we are doing after holidays..
and maybe we can have the idea cynthia suggested..

Saturday, 19 May 2007

erm... the CIP project we are doing about selling the cookies, i heard that another class is also doing this for CIP... and they are selling the cookies by twos... two small ones for i think about $0.80 or $1... then two big ones i think is about $1.50... so if we are also doing this, i think we should sell it in a different way to attract people to buy from us... and so i think that we should also plan to make the jelly we talked about in class so that we still have one more item to sell other than only cookies...

change of groups

erm..i heard from jerian that sec 2 are doing on muffins also..
so..must jia you le.erm..zihao i swoop with u.u go jerian's group.
Thanks SHimin

By the way, remember to bring your Reading Passports on Monday... Miss Choong forgot all about it yesterday... -.-"'

cookies

u all want to stantardised the size and type of cookies, jelly and brownies ??
and what is the cost of all this?..the shape of cookies is circle.the size?..the type?..

cip

finally..i can post le..waited for so long..
ermm..the cip group if you think you are not able to work in that particular group..tell me.
maybe i can help you change.
well..car wash..
i think we just forget it bah..
sec 2 are also doing so i don't think the school will also approve us..
so lets concentrate on doing cookies, brownies and jelly..
cynthia has also come up with a new idea.
we can buy plain t-shirts and socks then we design on them then sell them..
it is a great idea ..
so ..you all like this idea???...
ermm..btw.on monday .those who are going 4 the library cip on next sat.pls come and tell me again..thanks.

Can you believe it?Famous Local Blogger Xiaxue scored 269 for her PSLE when she was in Xing Nan Primary School! Can you believe it?Maybe 269 doesn't seem a lot during her times...

Spare Me The Horror

Guys, more specifically, Jerian, Hong Kai, Desmond, Jacko & Kuan Yuan, please STOP giving Cynthia hell when she's talking to the class. She gets real frustrated and takes it out on me. Poor me. You dunno how it's like to suffer her wrath at FULL-RAGE -MODE 7. It's horrible. Equivalent to 94 PSLEs.

Poor me.

Please stop giving her hell.

So that she'll stop giving me hell.

Thank you.

Ms Choong

She is good teacher, everyone agrees. And she may not know this blog. But most likely Mr Phyzad would have told her. What the hell, I'll still speak my mind. I swear I'll regret this.

(She doesn't know who "Chickenfist" is. Hah.)

Good points:

Sarcastic (VERY GOOD POINT)
Watches Friends
Knows how to control the Three Musketeers*
Teaches English
Banned Chinese from lessons (Take that, Xiao Dan)(Joke.)
Literature Major (Oooh...)

*The Three Musketeers is the title given to three of the guys who disrupts the class the most. Vote for them in the next post by posting a comment.

Bad Points:

Thinks she is more sarcastic that me. I beg to differ.

Okay. The Ends. Remeber to vote. Oh yah, by the way...

Sarcasm

Pronunciation: 'sär-"ka-z&m

Function: noun

Etymology: French or Late Latin; French sarcasme, from Late Latin sarcasmos, from Greek sarkasmos, from sarkazein to tear flesh, bite the lips in rage, sneer, from sark-, sarx flesh; probably akin to Avestan thwar&s- to cut

1 : a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain

ways to reduce stress.

monday saw the whole class look so stress..
here are some ways to reduce stress.and hope
it will be useful to all of u.

52 Proven Stress Reducers

get fifteen minutes earlier in the morning. The inevitable morning mishaps will be less stressful.

Prepare for the morning the evening before. Set the breakfast table, make lunches, put out the clothes you plan to wear, etc.

Don't rely on your memory. Write down appointment times, when to pick up the laundry, when library books are due, etc.

Do nothing which, after being done, leads you to tell a lie.

Make duplicates of all keys. Bury a house key in a secret spot in the garden and carry a duplicate car key in your wallet, apart from your key ring.

Practice preventive maintenance. Your car, appliances, home, and relationships will be less likely to break down/fall apart "at the worst possible moment."

Be prepared to wait. A paperback can make a wait in a post office line almost pleasant.

Procrastination is stressful. Whatever you want to do tomorrow, do today; whatever you want to do today, do it now.

Plan ahead. Don't let the gas tank get below one-quarter full; keep a well-stocked "emergency shelf" of home staples; don't wait until you're down to your last bus token or postage stamp to buy more; etc.

Don't put up with something that doesn't work right. If your alarm clock, wallet, shoe laces, windshield wipers - whatever- are a constant aggravation, get them fixed or get new ones.

Allow 15 minutes of extra time to get to appointments. Plan to arrive at an airport one hour before domestic departures.

Eliminate (or restrict) the amount of caffeine in your diet.

Always set up contingency plans, "just in case." ("If for some reason either of us is delayed, here's what we'll do. . ." kind of thing. Or, "If we get split up in the shopping center, here's where we'll meet.")

Relax your standards. The world will not end if the grass doesn't get mowed this weekend.

Pollyanna-Power! For every one thing that goes wrong, there are probably 10 or 50 or 100 blessings. Count 'em!

Ask questions. Taking a few moments to repeat back directions, what someone expects of you, etc., can save hours. (The old "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get," idea.)

Say "No!" Saying "no" to extra projects, social activities, and invitations you know you don't have the time or energy for takes practice, self-respect, and a belief that everyone, everyday, needs quiet time to relax and be alone.

Unplug your phone. Want to take a long bath, meditate, sleep, or read without interruption? Drum up the courage to temporarily disconnect. (The possibility of there being a terrible emergency in the next hour or so is almost nil.) Or use an answering machine.

Turn "needs" into preferences. Our basic physical needs translate into food, water, and keeping warm. Everything else is a preference. Don't get attached to preferences.

Simplify, simplify, simplify. . .

Make friends with non-worriers. Nothing can get you into the habit of worrying faster than associating with chronic worrywarts.

Get up and stretch periodically if your job requires that you sit for extended periods.

Wear earplugs. If you need to find quiet at home, pop in some earplugs.

Get enough sleep. If necessary, use an alarm clock to remind you to go to bed.

Create order out of chaos. Organize your home and workspace so that you always know exactly where things are. Put things away where they belong and you won't have to go through the stress of losing things.

When feeling stressed, most people tend to breathe short, shallow breaths. When you breathe like this, stale air is not expelled, oxidation of the tissues is incomplete, and muscle tension frequently results. Check your breathing throughout the day, and before, during, and after high-pressure situations. If you find your stomach muscles knotted and your breathing is shallow, relax all your muscles and take several deep, slow breaths.

Writing your thoughts and feelings down (in a journal, or on paper to be thrown away) can help you clarify things and can give you a renewed perspective

Try the following yoga technique whenever you feel the need to relax. Inhale deeply through your nose to the count of eight. Then, with lips puckered, exhale very slowly through your mouth to the count of 16, or for as long as you can. Concentrate on the long sighing sound and feel the tension dissolve. Repeat 10 times.

Inoculate yourself against a feared event. Example: before speaking in public, take time to go over every part of the experience in your mind. Imagine what you'll wear, what the audience will look like, how you will present your talk, what the questions will be and how you will answer them, etc. Visualize the experience the way you would have it be. You'll likely find that when the time comes to make the actual presentation, it will be "old hat" and much of your anxiety will have fled.

When the stress of having to get a job done gets in the way of getting the job done, diversion - a voluntary change in activity and/or environment - may be just what you need.

Talk it out. Discussing your problems with a trusted friend can help clear your mind of confusion so you can concentrate on problem solving.

One of the most obvious ways to avoid unnecessary stress is to select an environment (work, home, leisure) which is in line with your personal needs and desires. If you hate desk jobs, don't accept a job which requires that you sit at a desk all day. If you hate to talk politics, don't associate with people who love to talk politics, etc.

Learn to live one day at a time.

Every day, do something you really enjoy.

Add an ounce of love to everything you do.

Take a hot bath or shower (or a cool one in summertime) to relieve tension.

Do something for somebody else.

Focus on understanding rather than on being understood; on loving rather than on being loved.

Do something that will improve your appearance. Looking better can help you feel better.

Schedule a realistic day. Avoid the tendency to schedule back-to-back appointments; allow time between appointments for a breathing spell.

Become more flexible. Some things are worth not doing perfectly and some issues are fine to compromise upon.

Eliminate destructive self-talk: "I'm too old to. . .," "I'm too fat to. . .," etc.

Use your weekend time for a change of pace. If your work week is slow and patterned, make sure there is action and time for spontaneity built into your weekends. If your work week is fast-paced and full of people and deadlines, seek peace and solitude during your days off. Feel as if you aren't accomplishing anything at work? Tackle a job on the weekend which you can finish to your satisfaction.

"Worry about the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves." That's another way of saying: take care of the todays as best you can and the yesterdays and the tomorrows will take care of themselves.

Do one thing at a time. When you are with someone, be with that person and with no one or nothing else. When you are busy with a project, concentrate on doing that project and forget about everything else you have to do.

Allow yourself time - everyday - for privacy, quiet, and introspection.

If an especially unpleasant task faces you, do it early in the day and get it over with, then the rest of your day will be free of anxiety.

Learn to delegate responsibility to capable others.

Don't forget to take a lunch break. Try to get away from your desk or work area in body and mind, even if it's just for 15 or 20 minutes.

Forget about counting to 10. Count to 1,000 before doing something or saying anything that could make matters worse.

Have a forgiving view of events and people. Accept the fact that we live in an imperfect world.

Have an optimistic view of the world. Believe that most people are doing the best they can.
