Description : Yes..a coastal cleanup is a very good start to introduce anyone to our fragile environment and how wasteful a society we live in nowadays....

The purpose of a coastal cleanup is NOT to physically cleanup the place and make use of free labour . ..nparks and town councils do employ workers to do that. It is definitely NOT a punishment!

In fact, when you guys are performing a coastal/mangrove cleanup, you are giving a 2nd life to many marine animals and plants, who are choking in our floating debris.

The REAL purpose is to educate ourselves the next time we buy/throw away something...whether is could be Reduced(by only buying/using wat is needed not wat is on SALE!), reuse (so that less would be thrown away daily) and Recycle if the above 2 steps cannot be performed anymore...

You and I know we live in a very "throw-away" society and we buy a lot of "one time usage" products nowadays..we hope that will change eventually...
