I was just sweeping the classroom floor today as I was waiting for a few girls to submit their chinese composition. I was shocked. To all those who are suppose to sweep the floor: How did you sweep it? Where did you sweep? I am so disgusted by the amount of dirt I swept during that short period of time. Due to time constrain, I only swept half of the class room. I also swept the 3 corners. It was SO dusty. You may argue that it collects dust everyday, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to collect that amount of dust in just one day. And I also wonder how our poor teachers can bear the sight of the layers of dust collected at the teacher's table. Look, I am not trying to put the blame on anyone. What most of us think is that as long as we have done the assigned duties, it's over. Have you ever done your duties whole-heartedly? Did most of us remember to put the chairs on the tables? Did we remember to carry out our duties without being reminded to do so? You may think that I am just ordering all of you around just because I am the chairperson. Some of you even asked what duties as the chairpersons do we have. Most of you think that we have no duties, but we can tell you that you are WRONG. For example the IU Day, Pek Khoon and I are trying our best to get the class to co-operate. Although we tried our best, we still could not get the class' attention. Only the ICs (especially Jerian), Shi Min contributed the most. If the whole thing flopped, its not our fault, its not their fault. It's the class fault. I personally think that this project is to bond us together as a class but apparently, its getting us nowhere.Even Ms Wan complimented that our class is the most-not-bonded class she had ever taought. When we are trying to discuss something/ get your feedback, most of the people just say somthing nonsensical. It's not helping us at all. People are reluctant to even do certain duties assigned to them. They claim that they don't know how to do it. We don't need the duties to be carried out perfectly, all we need is your contribution. If you have the will to do it, you can. It's not the matter of knowing how to do it or not. I hope that after typing so much, you can reflect on what you have done for the class cleanliness/ project. I hope that we can improve so that we don't need to be nagged by the teachers. I am sure neither party enjoys the nagging. Let's do better starting from tomorrow.
P.S. Remember to bring newpapers/ magazines tomorrow.
